Submissions to the Canadian Comedy Awards are held annually. Only registered Voting Members are permitted to make submissions to industry-only voting categories. Whereas any registered voter - Public Voters, Industry Members and Voting Members - may submit to public voting categories.
To vote, nominate or win, you have to be Canadian, born in Canada, be a landed immigrant, or have done the bulk of your work in Canada.
The Early Bird Submission Fee is $35 per submission, payable to the Canadian Comedy Foundation for Excellence. The Extended Submission Fee is $50 per submission.
Submission opening and closing dates are announced on our website, through emails sent to subscribed voters, and through our Twitter and Facebook profiles.
All submissions are created online. Payments are made via check/money order or PayPal. Video delivery is done online or via mailed/couriered DVD or other memory device.
All submissions are vetted to ensure they meet the criteria of the category to which they are submitted. Submissions found not to meet the criteria of the category to which they were submitted are disqualified.

Only those individuals/groups/productions that are submitted for consideration through the submission process are eligible for nomination. The exceptions to this rule are the The Dave Broadfoot Award, The Roger Abbott Award and The Phil Hartman Award.
In the Television categories, the eligibility year shall be the previous TV broadcast year (May 1 of last year to April 30 of this year). In all other categories, the eligibility year shall be the previous calendar year.
The foundation may disqualify a submission after it has been submitted if they find that the criteria has not been met in the category to which the submission was made. The submission application fee is not refundable.
